Ujean
Ujean, originally named Eugen, was born October 2nd 1970, Vienna, Austria. In 1987 he first starts to express himself by painting in a very expressionistic and surrealistic way. Step by step, he acquires his profession as a graphic designer, illustrator, photographer and painter. In 1992 pop art and graffiti starts to influence his style of painting. In 1993 he visits New York,
where a vision on the 40th floor, somewhere in Manhatten bases his very own idea of pop art. In 1994 the artist developes his unique method of painting. In 1995 to 1998 he creates the Erotic Pop Art series and starts the Ujean Production. His presentation of erotic themes intentionally breakes with all usual limits in art. In 1999 he starts to work with three dimensional objects, by using his method of painting on display dummies. With the next big step, he goes even further, by making his art alive. He styles and paints models like his pop art paintings and lets them act. This new kind of bodyart was first performed on the German television show ´Peep´.
When they interviewed the artist about his intention, Ujean simply answered ´I wanna create good vibes!´
